Community

Community is, of course, our heart. Everything we do is for the purpose of working to maintain the unique rural character of a community that faces pressures of growth and change from Baltimore City and Baltimore and Harford Counties. While we are excited to be able to support the parade and other community events, we are also committed to doing what we can to give these activities a local focus. The GKCA is always interested in hearing the concerns of residents. While we do not typically get involved in neighbor-to-neighbor issues or disputes, the GKCA has, for over 50 years, been committed to help resolve issues of general community concern. Such issues are concerned mostly with new development and how well it fits in with a rural aesthetic. It’s about the quality of the built environment and preserving our natural and farming heritage, as well. Residents of the greater Kingsville area know well how special this place is and we should all have a stake in preserving and protecting it.
