Purpose of the Association
The purpose of the Association is to unite and utilize the combined efforts, talents, resources, and influence of the members for community civic improvement, protection, and other community related purposes.
Rural Preservation Fund
The GKCA accepts donations earmarked for the Rural Preservation Fund. These donations will be used for specific expenses related to our primary mission of protection of the rural character of our area. Most expenses are for legal fees to fight insensitive development.
In addition to donations, we invite residents to get involved in the issues affecting our community during Community Input Meetings, development plan reviews, and County hearings. This is a wonderfal way for citizens to get involved in government affairs at the local level. This is where democracy begins! We are especially grateful to individuals who are willing to donate their time and who have professional experience in subjects related to development such as wetlands, hydrology, highway engineering, traffic studies, or various environmental issues.
